Welcome from the Executive Head Teacher – Rachel Barton
Welcome to Our Wonderful School
A warm welcome to Littleton Church of England Nursery and Infant School set at the heart of the Littleton community. On behalf of the staff, children and governors, I would like to thank you for visiting our website and expressing an interest in our school.
Littleton School is a Voluntary Aided State Nursery and Infant School and is a co-educational day school. It is organised as a Nursery and Infant School with four classes for children aged rising three to 7 years. It is aided by the Local Education Authority (Surrey County Council). The Board of Governors is responsible for the management of the school. They are aided by the Local Education Authority in the upkeep, staffing and equipping of the school. The Governors are further assisted by the London Diocesan Board for Schools in such matters as administration, provision of accommodation, maintenance and Religious Education.
As of September 2022, Littleton Church of England Nursery and Infant School entered into partnership with Ashford Church of England Primary School. We are excited about the new opportunities that this creates for our children and school community.
We have very strong links with St Mary Magdalene Church and we pride ourselves on our warm and inclusive Christian learning community. To find out more about our relationship with the church and the history of our school, please visit Our Church and History tab.
We have a dedicated team of teaching staff who plan learning an exciting enquiry based curriculum that engages and stimulates all of our children regardless of their age and abilities. We are fortunate to have school grounds that enable us to offer a Forest School curriculum and we work hard to work with ‘Learning Partners’ in our community to enrich the children’s learning experiences. As a small school, we are able to nurture and develop each child as a unique individual. We work hard to develop deep and meaningful relationships with our parents and carers. We recognise the benefits that a strong partnership between our school and families brings to our children, their learning and our school community as a whole.
We hope that this website gives a small insight into life and learning at Littleton. We know choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. The best way to get a flavour of Littleton CofE Nursery and Infant School is to come to see our school in action. We would be pleased to welcome you to the school and show you around.
We look forward to meeting you.
