History
History at Littleton
History shapes our present and future by learning about the past and questioning who, when, where, what and why. A Littleton historian is inquisitive about the past, they ask these questions and see how events, people and places have shaped the world we live in.
Littleton historians have history brought to life in front of their eyes by being immersed in a range of sources, trips to local historical places and workshops which help them to understand what it might have been like to have been there.
When a Littleton historian leaves us at the end of Year 2, we want them to have a well-rounded and secure knowledge of key historical moments and figures to enable them to develop their thinking and questioning further as they move into Key Stage Two.
A Littleton Historian will have the ability to ask meaningful questions, have a strong understanding of chronology and explain how and why events and individuals are important to local, national and international history.
History is delivered as a weekly subject in half termly blocks. Please see our Curriculum maps for more information by clicking the links below.
