Art and the Littleton Learner

At Littleton we value Art as an important part of the children’s entitlement to a broad, balanced and rich curriculum.

Art provides children with the opportunities to develop and extend skills and to express their individual interests, thought and ideas.

By year two a Littleton Artist will-

Be able to use a range of materials with automaticity to creatively design and make products.

Be able to use drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination.

Be able to develop a wide range of art and design techniques using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space.

Have learnt about the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers, and be able to describe the differences and similarities between different practises and disciplines, and make links to their own work.
