Children will be eligible for full time admission to the school in September, at the beginning of the academic year in which they will have their fifth birthday.

According to the capacity of the school, the Published Admission Number for Littleton School is 30.

The Government’s legislation for class sizes stipulates a ratio of one qualified teacher per 30 children.

Applications for a Reception 2026 place will open on 3 November 2025. The closing date for on-time applications is 15 January 2026. School allocations will be issued to parents by Surrey County Council on 16 April 2026.

Applying for an In Year place at Littleton

Parents wishing to move their children to our school from other schools may either contact the school directly or contact Surrey County Council. This is known as in year admission. You may apply to any school. Parents are welcome to contact the school directly to establish if there are any places in a particular year group or to be placed on the waiting list.

School Admission Appeals Procedures

If you would like to appeal then please visit www.surreycc.gov.uk/schoolappeals and follow the links to find our school where an appeals form will be available for you to submit. If you are appealing for a place, please also ensure that your child has been added to the waiting list for a place at the school.

 Primary Appeals

Appeals for September 2026 resulting from year of entry or transfer applications:

Please note that any admission appeals for a Reception Class place in September 2026 should be lodged with Surrey Admissions by 15th May 2026. Surrey have confirmed that primary school appeals will be heard from May onwards with a target date for all appeals being heard by 17th July 2026 (40 School days).

NB: Appeals will not start being heard until after the relevant closing date has passed.

Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.
Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing.

Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case 7 clear working days in advance of the hearing.

Appellants must ensure that any further evidence not included with their initial appeal, is received by 5pm on the day notified in the letter with details of the hearing. Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing.
